Come faccio a impostare Notepad++ come editor predefinito?

Voglio impostare Notepad++ come editor predefinito. Ho provato a impostarlo cliccando con il tasto destro del mouse su un file, poi su Apri con. Ma non ho visto Notepad++ nell'elenco risultante (anche dopo aver cliccato su Scegli altri programmi).

Quando provo a reindirizzare a Notepad++ attraverso l'opzione Sfoglia al file notepad++.exe non fa nulla. (Non lo riconosce in qualche modo)

  1. Avviare Notepad++ con privilegi elevati.

  2. In Notepad++, vai a Impostazioni , Preferenze…

  3. Vai alla scheda Associazione file.

  4. Selezionate fortran,TeX,SQL e poi .sql e aggiungetelo alle estensioni registrate:

  5. Clicca su Chiudi.

Avvia Notepad++ come amministratore, cliccando con il tasto destro del mouse sulla sua icona e selezionando la relativa azione:

In Settings > Preferences..., puoi associare le estensioni che vuoi a Notepad++, usando questa finestra di dialogo:

In questo caso, cliccando sulla freccia rossa delineata associamo tutti i .txt a Notepad++.

Puoi modificare il registro di sistema. Da questo sito , ho trovato una modifica di regedit abbastanza approfondita che funziona bene per me e cambia davvero il programma predefinito “Modifica” con il tasto destro del mouse.

Le porzioni esagonali sono solo la stessa stringa di percorso di Notepad++, non so perché siano state messe in esadecimale, ma è innocuo. Di nuovo, non ho creato io questo codice.

  1. Copia il seguente testo e incollalo in un nuovo .txt e salvalo
  2. Rinominalo in nomefile.reg.
  3. E poi basta fare doppio clic su di esso e accettare i pop-up che ti avvertono di modificare il registro di sistema.

La via più diretta che ho trovato è dire a Windows di usare Notepad++ (o Notepad2 o…) invece del Notepad.exe predefinito del sistema sfruttando Image File Execution. È più sicuro (e più facile!) che sostituire i file di sistema o pasticciare con più voci di registro.
